Carmen: French–English Side-by-Side Libretto

I’ve just uploaded a corrected edition of the paperback version of Carmen: French–English Side-by-Side Opera Libretto and prepared an updated PDF for print production.

While revisiting the book, I discovered several serious errors along with many smaller misprints and formatting issues that had slipped into the previous edition. Some of the most noticeable corrections included the title-page typo “Frensh–English,” the accidental phrase “ducky skins” instead of “dusky skins,” and several French-language errors in stage directions and dialogue.

The revised edition now includes cleaner formatting, corrected French text, improved punctuation, and more natural English phrasing throughout the libretto. A number of garbled lines and broken stage directions were also repaired.

This is one of the reasons I continue revisiting older volumes in the series. Even after publication, I keep refining the books to make them more accurate, more readable, and more useful for opera lovers following the original text alongside the English translation.

The updated paperback edition is available at Amazon.com
PDF preview is also available.
